Newsflash... Bigfoot RV is back
Looks like they have restructured and are on the come back trail.
Will be interesting if they bring out new products to blend with the times.
We looked at many Bigfoots before buy our Airstream.

It's good to see them back. I'd like to see them have a lighter product line as well. The old management headed down the bigger-badder-heavier path with their trailer line. While there's nothing wrong with that, that's not where they started. The 17' could use a floorplan overhaul with useable beds too.

Thanks for the info. Maybe that will help in the sale of my Bigfoot. I do not have room for two trailers. Our new Airstream is due off the production line on July 27.
regards,
Ken

According to their website, the new owners put the company back on the market. There's no date, so I don't know how recent that news is.

Nope.... not as far as I know... Bigfoot as a company remains merely some molds in storage somewhere...

From what I hear they made good products. And the way the economy is going makes me wonder if a company starting up in this industry today even stands a chance. I heard from a local RV dealer that Earthbound trailers tried to make a go of it, but went belly up before they even got anything to the dealerships to sell. I hope it's not true. This is not good news at all.

A side note. Have y'all been watching the up-tic in the price of oil. The price of fuel is key. Folks in my area, are moving back to larger vehicles. (large up/small down) The cost of fuel will be the driving factor in the RV industry. We are not out of the woods yet; by a long shot. I remember talking to a fellow(MH) in AZ, early 2008. Five miles a gal on the road/$500 in the tank,he stated; that this level of the cost of fuel was slowing draining his retirement account. Trying to sell. A 2007 model. At that time, he had only been offered, 1/3rd of the amount that he had paid for it. He was very depressed about his situation. He had sold his home of many years and was somewhat disabled. Mel

I'm glad to see them back. They made a quality product that seems to be very popular with a lot of people (my parents included).

Just got this today from the President of the Bigfoot Owner's Club Int'l, Mike Henley:
Quote:
The New Bigfoot Industries 2010
I am aware that many of you have already seen the announcement below and have asked why it was not announced on our website sooner. The answer is we wanted to make sure these guys are the real deal before getting everyone’s hopes up and it appears that they are. I have been in contact with Grant Bilodeau at Bigfoot Industries 2010. He has over 20 years’ experience working for and on Bigfoot RV’s. What follows is a summary of our discussion (with Grant’s approval to pass it on to you).
Grant indicated that many former Bigfoot Industries Employees are involved in the new Bigfoot Industries 2010 representing over 300 years’ of Bigfoot experience and knowledge. The new Bigfoot Industries 2010 is located in the old Bigfoot Industries facilities in Armstrong, BC as part of the Rhinokore Corporation. Most of the molds for the campers, trailers and motorhomes still exist at the site.
Their immediate goals are to provide support to current Bigfoot owners in servicing and maintaining their truck campers, travel trailers and motorhomes. They are aware that many owners have found it
difficult to find fiberglass parts for their units and will make this their first priority as they begin production. In addition, they will soon be producing truck campers and travel campers. Sorry, motorhomes are not in the current plans but may be in the future.
It may take 6 to 9 months for the new Bigfoot Industries 2010 to start production and Grant has agreed to keep us updated on new developments.
We will also have a new Section on the forum very soon titled “Bigfoot Industries 2010” where you may post questions and comments for the staff of the new Bigfoot Industries 2010.
Happy-n-Safe Travels,
Mike Henley
BOCI President
