Newbie Airstreamer in Central Ohio

Hello everyone,
We have just obtained a great 1970 Airstream camper from a great couple of experienced Airstreamers that had taken this camper everywhere including every state and Alaska! This Airstream is in great shape since they just returned from Alabama. Breaks, all new and working well. They also included the original books with every repair made back from 1970. We are not planning to go everywhere for a while until I learn how to operate this camper properly. Hope to use this site to navigate this camper. Thanks

Already learned how to operate the Therm'x catalytic heater on this site....and it really heated up the camper well.

Tow that trailer up to Findley State Park for the Anniversery Rally. By the time you leave you will be an expert with every system on that Airstream!

When is the anniversary rally? In Findley eh? State Park? That's not too far from Plain City, maybe an hour or two. Is there room for a 31 footer? I will check on line. Let me know.

Since it is after season, sites can not be reserved. However we worked out a deal with the park so that I can get local sales. So you reserve your site with me, and then pay the park when you arrive. Welcome! I live about 45 minutes from you. If you need a hand navigating the operations of your trailer just let me know. Would be glad to stop down. As Airbiscuit said, the Anniversary rally is the place to go to learn from the best and meet fellow Ohio Airstreamers, but if you can't make it and need a hand just holler. The rally is at Findley State Park and not in Findlay...just so you know.

Findley State Park is located just south of Wellington, Ohio on Rt. 58. It is a super little SP that has lots to do and see in that area. But if you come to the rally you will find yourself having a good time right there around the campfire!!!

[Hi, my husband and I just acquired an 1963 Tradewind and we are going to rebuild it but in the meantime we bought a 1976 Argosy also, ready to go camping. They are great trailers and I can't wait to do some get togeathers with other airstream/argosy aficionados. No more box campers for us!

Well, it is nice to "see" so many new Ohioans signing on! You are welcome to come and join us this weekend. We have a rally going on at Findley State Park, Wellington, Ohio. It is listed as the 2nd Anniversary/Chili Cook-Off Rally on the forums calendar page. You can PM Larry and I or Airbiscuit on here and get signed up. We have an Excella and an Argosy Minuet 6.7 m. going to the rally...plus a bunch belonging to others!
