Just when I thought I would never see another snail mail chain letter, I got one.
It says I could make up to $800,000 dollars, and yes its not a scam. I'm supposed to mail out these letters to people and send $1 to the listed people. I'm to take off the top name, move up the other 5, then add mine at the bottom. Then I am supposed to contact a company called DataLine and ask for a mailing list of "opportunity seekers." This list will cost me $40, but what a fraction of the actual payback!
I'm giddy with the anticipation. Then I'm supposed to mail! Mail! MAIL! this letter to as many people as I can.
Number 1, I'm pissed someone got my address off of an "opportunity seekers" list.
Number 2, why should I mail Terry Matejcek, Bill Erwin, Ron Brown, Frenk Tansley (yes Frenk, that is how it was spelled), Roy French, and Bill Fantozz a one dollar bill? These men have done nothing for me but steal my address through some mailing list company! Number 3, well I have no number 3. I just can't believe somebody would really go through all this trouble and think it would actually work.
