Model differences?

I have looked at many different models of late 1970's AS and wonder what the differences are in the Excella and the International Sovereign? Thanks

I looked it up. The Sovereign International was made until replaced by the Sovereign in 1977. The last Sovereign was in 1979. In 1980 there was an International and an Excella II.

There are lots of different models and names come and go. You can find out some things about models from the weight chart I am attaching.

Thomas I really don't know the particulars but I think the names refer to a certain trim level of the trailer. The International was designed for extended or full time travel. The Excella also had options that made it more comfortable for extended travels.

Hang in there, some AS guru will surely chime in with the specifics.

Yes, it is trim. The Excella had options like built-in blender in the galley, generator, doorbell, and so on.

They got the "new" idea of the grey tank a year earlier than the Sovereign did, by the way.

The Excella quickly became more popular, judging by how many of them there are available as used, for the years when they were both available. Well, in my corner of the world, in any event.
