missing photos

Why are photos not showing in posts? This one has only red X's in my browser - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427...tml#post205567

I've also seen a lot of posts where the photo is missing, but there is an existing link that will bring the photo up in the black screen. What's that all about?

Are we deleting photos from older threads?

I just looked at your link and I can see the pictures. If I recall correctly this type of thing has happened to others and to me previously. I think it is temporary whatever the cause.

Good possibility, try tossing your cookies and clearing your cache. You will have to log back into Airforums if you do that, but it should clear things up. I seldom run IE except to check for problems. I prefer to use FireFox or Opera.

I checked and I can see the photo's with all three browsers.

I'm having the same problem, at work I can see all pic's, but at home I only see the latest and in a few days even they appear to be deleted. My computyer has all the latest updates.

Definitely! Cache = temporary internet files. Clear them (Tools menu, recent browsing history or whatever in the browser you are using; Safari menu in Mac).

Maybe, but the last time I looked at that page was years ago with a different computer. I assume you'd agree that that's a very tough cookie!

PS--well, I'll be gosh darned. I had to delete three times, finally doing everything but passwords and unchecking the "preserver favorites" box. That did it. Thanks.

Them be the stale cookies....like the ones I found when I moved the fridge after 8 years in the same place.
