I am new to airstreams and I was just wondering about the numbers I see on front of a lot of airstreams. Mine is 18222, or was, the numbers are gone now but you can see were they were.

Those are Wally Byrum Caravan Club International (WBCCI) member numbers. Each family gets a number assigned when they join the club and that number is displayed on the front and back of their trailer.

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

The numbers belong to the owner, not the trailer, but a lot of numbers are no longer in use. If you are interested in joining WBCCI and would like to get your trailer's original number back, you can do so as long as it has not been issued within the last few years.

To know for sure you would have to call WBCCI headquarters, but I can tell you that your number is not currently listed in the 2009 WBCCI membership directory.

Thanks , your post have been a big help to me. I was looking at the web site and it looks like the cost to join is $75 a year, is this correct?

The cost to join the club is $55 plus the local unit fee which ranges from $1 to $20. The $75 is quoted for MAL (member at large) which is not a member of a local unit. The best part of the club is the local unit, IMO. I would suggest that you contact the unit(s) in your area, attend a local rally and then join if you like what you see.
