Las Vegas KOA

Hey Guys and Dolls :O)

I was trying to find a hotel in Las Vegas for the weekend of Feb 13 thru 15 2009 and was surprised how the price jumped up for the weekends and plus it being the Valentine weekend, it was even more expensive then this past weekend. So, I checked out a few RV campgrounds and they were ok in price but not that close to the "Vegas Strip". Well, I figured that I'd check the KOA site for the heck of it and low and behold, they're having a super deal. Any RV Site for only $19.94/Night in February

"Stay at the closest campground to the Las Vegas for only $19.94/night during the month of February. Forget about staying in a hotel, and just bring your motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer and enjoy all of the comforts of your "home on wheels" while visiting Vegas."
More Information / Reserve This Hot Deal

So I wanted to share this with those of you who might be interested.

ALSO, they rent Airstreams at $45 per night !

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth and thought you would like to know.

I thought I'd have this go around one more time for those that were out earlier today.

I used to use the Circus Circus campground, until they transferred it to KOA and the prices went stratospheric. This price is quite reasonable. The great thing about this location is that you can walk to many of the best places on the strip.

Rick -
The price is right and so is the location. The "campground" however is poor at best - it's a huge asphalt parking lot with hookups. If you are there exclusively after sunset, as a place to sleep, it works perfectly. I was there in 2005. It doesn't hold a candle to boondocking and a campfire, but there's a lot of the weird and wonderful within walking distance.
If you have some spare time, take the trailer out to Valley of Fire State Park, about 50 miles east of the city. It's quite exceptional.
