Just Married!!
Sue and I hitched up - with rings as well as our newly remodeled Excella II. We got married Sunday and have been on the road headed to Virginia. We've been working on the AS since Jan of this year and were still working in it Sunday morning. There's still a lot to do. I'm sure it will be a never ending adventure in repair, upkeep, and just plain fun! Tonight we're staying at Campfire Lodgings in Asheville, NC. We got here after dark but I think it's going to be really pretty when we wake up! Here's a few pics from our maiden voyage.

Congratulations to you. We have been married for 37years, and our 35th anniversary gift to us was our Airstream. For two years now we have been enjoying every outing.
Looking forward to several more years with our trailer. Plus we get better every time out with the hook-ups and most importantly the backing up. Best to you, Susan & Jim

congrats!
We are happy for you! Sounds like a great love story and adventure.
Our daughter is getting married on the 23rd and we are hosting a "honeymoon" rally at the local state park the following weekend. They will be camping for their honeymoon too. Ain't love great?

Congratulations from South Louisiana. We just made 14 years 10/5. We are working on restoring our 86 and hope it comes out as nice as yours. Axles/brakes came in last night and floor replacement ongoing. Wish you many more 10/10's

Congratulations! My wife and I got married back in June, but our Airstream was not in any way part of the wedding or honeymoon.

Congratulations and good luck with both your trips,; the one you are taking in the AS, and the longer one you two just signed up for

Suggestion.
Add a "center support" to your Zip Dee awning.
They help protect the awning from damage caused by gusts of wind, when the awning is extended.
There are not expensive and can be installed in 10 minutes.
That support should be on any Zip Dee awning that's greater then 12 feet wide.
Yours is 21 feet wide.
Happy family Airstreaming to you both.
Andy

Thanks everyone. We're enjoying our new life together at home with our families but also in our AS. Since we got married in October the AS has already seen about 8k miles. Sue and I have been to our land in SW Virginia (Floyd) twice, and my dad - AirDD -has been from East TX out into NM and down through Big Bend. He got the AS itch helping me restore/remodel ours and after his trip he picked up a 1975 Sovereign 31ft. It's in a lot better shape than our Excella was when we got it but there's still plenty to do. Hopefully we learned a little bit after gutting and re-building the Excella!
