Investment Advice!
If you purchased $1000 in Delta Stock, one year ago, you would have $49 left;
In Fannie Mae, you would have $2.50 left of your original $1000;
If AIG, you would have less than $15.
But, if you purchased $1000 worth of beer, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for recycling;
Your refund would be $214 cash.
Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Great idea! By drinking my favorite beer, Milwaukee's Best Light at $9.73 a case from Wal-Mart, the return would exceed $300. $1000 would buy a bunch more cans of this premium brew. By gosh, that's a great investment in this bear market!

Yeah, I'm not sure Milwaukee's Best Light is a premium brew
My beer cost $9.73 for 6 bottles, but then I'm and AS snob.... My beer is Blue Moon, or Hogarden.. Both white wheat Ale's.. But I would still make some money on the recycle... Just not that much...

I took the S&P500 closing for the last four weeks and projected the numbers forward in Excel - the index drops below zero next April. Drink up!

Buuuut, in my mind it's about the taste not the dividends... If it's about the dividends you could drink generic beer, YUK.. When they say it's the water that makes it taste better.. You can bet it tastes like water....
Sorry,,,,
I'm not only an AS snob
I'm also a beer snob

Let me help you all to know & understand how the stock market (I call it the paper casino...) actually works...
Once upon a time, in a village, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each.
The villagers, seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10 and, as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort.
He further announced that he would now buy monkeys at $20 each.
This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer increased to $25 each, and the supply of monkeys became so small that it was an effort to even find a monkey, let alone catch it!
The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would be buying them from the villagers on his behalf.
In the absence of the man, the assistant confidentially told some of the villagers. "Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $35, and when the man returns from the city...you can sell them to him for $50 each."
So the villagers rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys.
Unfortunitly, after they had done this...they never saw the man nor his assistant ever again, however, there were many loose monkeys running around everywhere!
Now you have a better understanding of how Wall Street works.
