El Sueno
Sure, but it is partially gutted. I hope you can tell what I have. One of the interesting things I found, was a coleman light on the side of the cabinets in the front.

I don't think that El Sueno has any bearing on the trailer, other than perhaps that it travelled there at one point.

Someone did a real job on the front A frame! The Coleman replaced the original light. Cool trailer.

El Sueno translates to "the dream". It was never used as an Airstream model designation.

You have a 1966 or 1967 Airstream.
The tempered glass started in 66.
You also have a door that was replaced, since the lock shown is for a 1970 to 1977 Airstream.
Post the serial number for a better ID.

Sounds like El Sueno sould stand for Hienz 57 or patches since there are so many non-OEM parts on her. Good eye Andy.

Maybe it's one of those Airstream-Walmart-Kmart-Ace Hardware-Sears-Home Depot-Drug store-Grocery store-Ebay-Colaws model?
Never know.

Did you get "El Sueno" at the A/S second-hand lot on HW 71 just outside Bastrop? They've had some... interesting "finds" there...
Actually, El Sueno" is not a bad name for your new rig... even though Airstream never thought to use it. Whatever you have to do to her, make her "mi sueno"...
Now Land Yacht & Tradewind are official Airstream names... perhaps the PO used parts from each... while he was sleepwalking...?
And... welcome to the forums, classygal!

Aluminum Wiring
Hi Classy Gal,
I have a 1967 Airstream and I have gutted it because it had all aluminum wiring. This was a concern to me because of the newer parts that were installed inside. The new stuff was copper wired and copper and aluminum doesn't mix, it causes a chemical reaction and causes fires because of the wires shorting out. In Commercial and housing codes it is forbidden by code to mix the two different type of wires. I found burnt wires in the walls of my camper where they had mixed these two types of wires.

That funny looking thing on the outside of the a-frame that looks like a bolt with an arm attached was a rudimentary form of sway control. It's not much good without the rest of it, but that's what it is.

Nope.
I had a very good Airstream. I finished putting it together.
It was my "on the road" home, for about another 3 years, after the test.

Your Airstream, also has an "A-frame", within another "A-frame", for some unknown reason.

Maybe that was what made it the "El Sueno" ... Does "El Sueno" mean "Double A"?
