Now that is a fun vehicle. A bit gaudy, but boy would I love to have that puppy to shock my neighbors, friends, and even my wife.

Quite a story.
He found it like so many here, sitting in somebody's yard.
He too did a shell off restoration - Aluminum body and supports weight 4K lbs.
He did a lot of nice things to it that I suspect were not original in the 50's - such as tilt wheel, disk brakes, A/C for the cab, etc.
Very well done, nice post.

Cool train...great horn...the guy has a personality of dry toast. I would be a little more excited about having that. He is not worthy.

A very neat find. It being a 1950 model are we considering it to be an
F3,7 or 9?

That would be an F7, as F3's were discontinued in 1949.
With the nose, it looks more like an ALCo than an EMD...

Go to BTunnel.com will protect your anonymity on the internet, helping you evade URL and IP filters!, and you should be able to access youtube through them.

Terry I was searching the net to see if the Super Chief was powered by both AlCo's and EMD's. Any knowledge on that?
