kathi cares for all our louisville sluggers on the block on thursdays after school.
most of the rough housing goes on in the back yard, i think we are safe for now!
then again, i know where the little buggers live! kinda like bumpass hounds on two legs!

This is mine
I received this for my 50th birthday. Terri thinks we should take it with us when we A/S. The other pic is just for John HD.

John:
I always knew you had great taste...this just proves it! Much to the dismay of some relatives and neighbors, we kept the lamp in the front window all year. I just couldn't bring myself to put it away.
Our home is on a fairly busy road with just over 300' of frontage. The entire perimeter is chain link fence. Much to my husband's dismay, I put C-9 lights along the entire fence front. It looks like an airport runway at night!
We have a local morning radio program where callers report the best Christmas decorations. A friend called me this morning to say that someone had called in to report our Leg Lamp and C-9's! How cool!
Enjoy your lamp but watch out for the cats. I've caught mine trying to use it as a scratching posts on occasion.

Leg lamp?
Ok, I must be out of touch with the pulse of things...what is a "leg lamp"? I mean, I know what it is -- it is a lamp with the base in the form of a woman's leg -- but what does it mean?

Christmas Story
It's from the Christmas Story movie. The father wins a major award which happens to be a leg lamp...here is a link to the scene...

It's from "A Christmas Story". The movie also features things like gun safety, tire changing and feeding the neighbors dogs. It is on every year and it worth a look or better yet, a rent.

Usually one of the cable networks will run the movie for 24 hours straight right at or on Christmas day. Kind of entertaining to unwrap presents with it playing in the background.

Thanks for the information and the youtube link. Too funny. I will have to look this one up. The youtube link was priceless with the scene of the little kid stroking the leg and the mom chiding him and pulling his hand away.
