I had a fun day (pictures) Old trailers and old stuff

I thought I would share a few pictures of my day today.
I got a call to go buy some antiques out of an old barn, (I filled my truck with cool stuff) and i spotted this Elwood in the weeds, What year do you think it is? It is aluminum sided with masonite and canvas roof! I guess late thirties.
I also saw this old Ford in the woods and had my wife snap a picture of me in my beanie cap.
I also saw a few old Impalas in the barn a 1965 and a 1966 both 4 doors sitting since the eighties.
i was also offered a 150 yo Log cabin (but it was rotten.)
If anyone wants this trailer, (it is in really bad shape) I can get it for you if you pick it up for really cheap. (excellent parts source) Pm me only if serious.
This is a pretty typical day for me, the other dqay I found a bipane in a nearby backyard and brought it home, it will go on the roof of my store someday (not a real plane but a vintage 8'x 8' replica from a circus)
I am always looking for interesting things, so if you know where I can buy a Muffler man or a giant fiberglass cow let me know.

Cool find. That would be a pretty fun way to spend a day!

Being formerly in the antique business I'm reminded of the familiar sign that reads:

" YOU BREAK IT- YOU BOUGHT IT!"
Watch out -that stuff has a habit of following you home!!!

I like the trailer but with that frame - no way. Bet it won't even pull out of its spot. It'll rot away to nothing right where it is. Sounds like a fun day. I get those once in awhile.

The Ford looks like a '63 Fairlane, to me.

Careful with that "old" stuff there Richard... I learned how to drive in a '63 Comet... the Mercury version of that Fairlane!

I had a 62 Comet S22 convertable not so long ago.

Here is the Biplane I was talking about, It is about 8 feet long and made of metal and wood, probably 50 years old.

Thatsa Staggerwing!

And from the airplane wing of the Forum...

That's not just a biplane, but a rather crude replica of Beechcraft's Model 17 Staggerwing, built from late 30's through late 40's... Very classy airplane, current airworthy versions sell for $300K and up. Looks like kiddy seat behind wings indicating some dad went to a lot of trouble for big toy for a child...
