I bought another Airstream
According to the information that came with it. I'm not sure what year it is. The title says " Buick mit Amerikanischem Wohnwagen".
It's a little small but does come with a tow vehicle.
It has 5 panel end caps, dual axles, and looks like a 26ft overlander but a lot, lot smaller. Actually it's only 3 " long and the Buick is 2" long.
Ha HA gotcha.
If I can't afford to buy real ones anymore I can still buy the toy ones.

Humm.... axle looks like it's riding a little low. You might want to replace it.

Yes but not much cargo capacity and a real b**ch to back up as the TV front wheels won't turn.
It's actually very well made. It does hitch up to the TV.

HO= 1/2 O yes 1:87
The layout got torn down during a move and is now in boxes, CNG Blue Comet and N&W 746 on display.

Bob in my younger days I had an N scale because I was living in an apartment. Since then I never got back into it for pretty much the same reason. I kept moving too often or never had a spare room. Maybe I can do a layout inside an old A/S I have here. Now that would be a great use of an otherwise unusable trailer.
Do you have any plans to set up yours again?

Toot Toot....
Well we always have plans but you know what they say about them...
The upstairs room that we had planed to use is now floor to ceiling with train stuff. In the meantime the rest of the house filled up and now it would be hard to make enough to assemble the table. The majority is Lionel with an assortment of a few other collectable sets. DW enjoyed it as much as I and it would be nice to get it running again.
Here is the Engine from a set that I have double of...for sale.... any Lionel collectors out there?
Bob

I was thinking about the 63 26ft O'lander I have here. I call her Eileen (get it I lean)because she was rolled over on her side into a ditch during a winter storm. She is far too damaged to repair but would make a good tool shed or in this case a marshalling yard.
I can see it now. A long loop like you said with several towns along the way. there could even be several elevations. Lets see 26ft x 2 + 6ft x2 = 64 ft for one loop. Three elevations x 64ft = 192 ft of track.
How many scale miles would that be? It's been a long time since I was into this.

Wasagachris...I compared yours to Bob's and I don't know, but it looks like yours may need new axles.

SIGH. MC does N scale. Hasn't been set up for years because he hasn't had a place for it. Now he's hatching ideas of a second trailer, thanks to you all!
BTW,WC, our daughter's name is Eileen...

Hi Kay well actually I don't have my layout anymore. I moved it from place to place for several years and then finally sold it when I fulltimed in my trailer.
Thanks to Bob now I'm thinking about a 53 ft transport trailer instead.
Does your daughter only have one leg?

Nope, two legs. She came home crying once when she was 7 or 8 because the kids on the bus were teasing her about her name and the leaning thing. I had honestly never thought about it before and thought we had named her something that was tease proof. Of course, we've always called her Leeny (or Lean Bean Machine) when she was little but now that she's 24, I don't call her that anymore. I value my life too much.

Nice new rig wasagachris! Now the debate can begin about tow vehicle, hitch selection and financing options!
