Hi

Given what hurricanes normally do to fill up reservoirs and build up the water table .... having them all head out to sea is not good news for next spring / summer.

A Pro-hurricane vote!
I don't know about filling up the water table. Let's say a hurricane hit Houston and dumps 20" of rain. The ground water can't handle that much, so it runs off into the gulf.
We need a hurricane to hit Lake Mead where the water table is historically low.

BTW, when I posted yesterday about Victor, there wasn't a cone yet. Today they're showing it taking a northerly track, way east of even Sam, and perhaps sending rain to the UK.

Hi

The water table in much of the east and in the midwest is indeed impacted by hurricanes (at least according to our local weather guy). The water does run off, but it goes a *long* way doing it.
