Google streetview sightings

So, I was sitting here researching a future trip to Maumelle park on the Arkansas River and figured out they have streetview sightings. Cool, maybe I can see just how shaded this "full shade" pull through site is on ReserveAmerica's webpage.

Hmm. Anyone recognize the rig/owner? Screen says the image date was August 2007

It never occurred to me to use google streetview to look at campsites - great idea!

Between the overhead "satellite" view and street view, one can often get a pretty good idea of which specific sites will work best.

Yeah, I thought about doing it that way, but I'd have to log in on the computer, then do the picture insert.....I could do it in about two steps with my phone and it worked well enough.

I use google maps to try and scout out sites in campgrounds, what's around the area, etc. This is the fist time I've even tried street view and I was surprised it was able to give me a picture. Funny the is, I grew up about fifteen or twenty minutes from that campground, but have never even been there.
