Giant rock towed to Lakewood
Hi, a giant granite rock is being moved from Riverside to a Los Angeles museum. Today it is stopped over in Lakewood, Ca. It is on a 110 mile journey at a rate of about 5 miles per hour and only travels at night. I heard about it on the news, but didn't know it's path. Today while going out for lunch, we accidentally noticed this rock, only a few miles from our home. There is one tow vehicle and two pushers. And I won't even try to count the wheels.

Yes, but let's see you get that bad boy on wheels.
Of course it does have three horses on it.

This is a solid example of how to put ones carbon footprint straight up mother natures behind...."Lets see guys.....how about we tow a giant ROCK with a bunch of fossil fuels to a giant city???" "Sounds like a GREAT idea!, all we need is a rock." "Yes Charlie, any rock will do, as long as it's huge and take a tremendous effort to get where it's going....that way people will take pictures and we can create a BUZZ"

It could be polished be an Airstream owner and be a big "please forgive-me ring"????
Maybe she caught him playing with his "Dolly".
Or maybe to make a counter top with it?
Airstream owners have been known to do stranger things???

Kinda reminds me of what I think of when I'm told, 'You can't do that'. I think that if the Egyptains can build the Pyramids without a fork lift....I certainly accomplish..........

Ignore this post if that feels best, but the question ultimately is WHY drag a useless rock to LA???? IS is there no one here (especially a gasoline conscious republican) to call this craziness out!!

Why do we waste fossil fuel to get our Airstreams from point A to point C? Sal.

I am sorry sir, but you are mistaken. That is the rock they moved over 100 miles so all may see.
Best Regards,

If they made a big plastic rock they would get better mpgs.
Will the big rock be a tourist attraction like the worlds biggest ball of string?
I bet the dogs will love it too!
