Funniest Asked Questions

I am building a travel site and I need your help. Our FAQ is going to be a little different than the usual found on websites. It is about all the absolutely most ridiculous questions you have ever been asked in your RV travels. Please include your first name, city, and state for the credit line.

Two examples are:
Question: Are Airstreams hard to drive?
Answer: No! They are very easy to drive. It is very simple, just keep the rubber between the ditches and the shiny side-up.
Question: Why is your trailer so shiny?
Answer: It helps the police, if the shiny side is up they know everything is A.O.K.

When inquiring about our 1956 Safari..."Are you the original owner?"....uh, no...I was born in 1959. Either my trailer looks really good or I look really bad!

Why does everybody strip the paint off those trailers? The painted ones look so much better.

I didn't take the time to explain the difference between an Airstream and an Argosy. I really figured it was a lost cause.

Question: Is that thing made of Aluminum? Did you use beer cans?
Answer: Yes, 76,281 to be exact. We hired a sorority and fraternity to help us empty the cans. They emptied all the cans in one week-end! CB

Is that thing made of stainless steel?
No, aluminum - stainless would weigh 20,000 pounds.

It's made of stainless steel, right? That's why they last forever.

Ummmm, yeah, and that is why it's really light-weight too!

This one caught me off guard...a man walked up to me and said.

Hi there... You must be a pilot.

No this is a trailer not a airplane.

Rest stop in Texas, I had a rocket scientist INSIST that Airstream went out of business in the 70's and I was lying that it was a 2005 and they still are manufactured. He did comment that I did a fantastic job with the restoration. I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

Why doesn't my Televesion work?

A dealer told me that he sold an Airstream to a first time RVer and went over all systems with him inside and out in a walk through before he pulled out of the lot for his first camping experience.
Four hours later he received a call from the man who said that his Television would not work. He asked the man if he tried anything else in the same outlet and the reply was " nothing works when I plug into any outlet" . The dealer said that a breaker must have tripped and also asked
what campground he was at. The man replied " I am parked at a Wal-Mart".
The dealer then said that he was running on 12 Volt only and the TV would only work on 110 Volt. The man then asked " Well then how do I switch over to 110 volt?"
Needless to say the new Airstream owner missed something in the walk through earlier that day.

Referring to my B190: "Did you build that yourself?"

Yes, I did. I have the tools to fabricate an 18' long one-piece fiberglass top right here in my garage.

I like the leak one though. That has to be the winner.
