Perhaps Aunt Carolyn isn't too happy because it looks as tho her Schlitz is about gone. (Sorry, I had to joke about that, I hope that's ok, if not, I promise I won't do it again.) :-)

You know, Deb..... you might be on to something!
Carolyn was Uncle Mike's 2nd marriage. Not real sure what happened to the first, but I think #1 was stepping out on him. Anyway..... we lived in Oklahoma, Dad's side of the family lived in and near their hometown in SW NY state. We didn't see the relatives more than once or twice each year, simply due to the distance, and the fact that it was a major endeavor to haul 7 kids
anywhere! We were not rich by any means, but I don't remember ever feeling like we lived "without" anything. I had pretty much an Ozzie & Harriet childhood... no major trauma at all, lots of good times and good memories. (I waited until I was an adult to cause any personal trauma...... all good now, though!!)
I just remember Carolyn being one of those loud, obnoxious, whiner types, and her personality got "enhanced" with adult beverages.
I really treasure those and other photos from back then. The main reason I posted that particular one was: if you look closely, just above Uncle Mike's head is the tail end of some kind of Airstream. I think I remember that the family's last name was Steinbeck, and that trailer rarely moved.
I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the pics! I'm still digging through more....
