For S.F. art lovers-

My favorite artist, Z.Z. Wei who, coincidentally , occasoinally does lovely paintings with Airstreams in them, is having a show at the Jenkins Johnson Gallery on Sutter Street in San Francisco through the month of May. Man, what I would give to be in S.F. in May, hangin' out at the galleries!!!!!!!!!

WOW

I love his work!

funny that some folks will spend $100 for framing for a $15 poster they bought at the mall and do it several times over.

I would sooner spend the $12000 asking price for one original work of art as that. at least at that price it's 4 feet high! at 3x4 that is a/b 1k per sq ft

Galleries are dangerous

About 5 years ago, I tagged along with my wife to a meeting in SF. I went gallery hopping while she attended meetings. I found out that there was an artists reception for Jian Wang (California based artist) at the Richard McDonald gallery..........so we attend his reception......had a few glasses of wine (loosened us up) ........met the Mayor of SF........... and proceeded to buy an original by him of a sunset on the American River. We love his art......real juicy....impasto style. I also like Wei's work, and have seen it at the Attic Gallery in Portland.
So beware......a few glasses of wine can be dangerous when you're at a reception in a gallery!

I wasn't familiar with his work until now. Thank you for the introduction.
