Great pictures, thanks for sharing them.

It's obvious whoever owns them is an Airstream lover to have three of them in the yard.

I can't help but wondering what's up with the windows open on the GT. I assume all the screens still in place or you'd of been able to get a clear look/pictures without actually entering the trailer.

I'd be thinking that a note left taped to the door would be a good step since someone is obviously coming and going. Is there a mailbox out on the road? If so, is it being used? If so perhaps a stop at the local post office with a stamped envelope addressed to the "Airstream owner"?

I'd be careful on how you make the next approach though to make sure it's not considered trespassing by the owner/caretaker. You might alienate that person and not get a chance to talk them out of the GT.

Have you tried a neighbor to ask who lives there and if they know when that person might be home?

Keep us posted. I love the hunt, it's always exciting no matter how it ends, but we're looking for a touch down here for you.

Barry

Barry,

Our claims rep. that tipped me off on these said it was open like that and that was at least a year ago? The screens were in place and plain hanging drapes - rotted on the bottom - kept me from getting a real look at the inside. Mail box out front kinda hanging from the post. I moved pretty fast - in and out in 10 minutes max. You advise is solid - will have to be careful with the next step.

I would guess it's an old WB member who kept the old units as they moved up to the big motorhome, then were unable to travel anymore, leaving all of them sitting. Except there's no numbers on the GT and the one on the TW is peeling. I can't spot any on the MH. WB members are pretty fanatical about their numbers. I wonder if it might help to find out who last had number 11957?

Great idea Stef.

No 11957 in the 2007 WBCCI membership directory. One on either side but that number isn't tied to anyone at the time the directory was printed. Maybe someone who's got older copies can look back to see.

Neither #957 or #1957 is in the 2007 Membership Directory.
