College Football
Who is the only division 1A head coach that has never lost a game? Short lived stat I know but as of today, we only have one that I know of. My problem is Nebraska is my other favorite team and I can't watch that match should it happen in Tempe...I'd loose my mind.
Who is your team and why is the BCS fair or not?

Well, I usually can't figure out the BCS, but OKLAHOMA is my team. My father played on the first Oklahoma team to go to the Orange Bowl in 1938. They lost to Tenn., but our entire family has always gone to OU, with the exception of "oh no" me. My parents sent me to Oklahoma State because they thought OU was becoming too much of a party school when my older sister was there. I really would like to see a play off system of some sort. I know the BCS takes a lot of different variables into consideration; however, I wonder if the smaller schools always get a fair deal. Of course Oklahoma needs not worry about that, but I would still like to see some type of playoff system.

Tigers
Missouri is my team, and no the BCS is not fair. Having said that, how can there be a fair way to rank the number of teams that there are out there?

Chris Petersen - Boise State
The Fiesta Bowl (Jan 1st) game will not be played in Tempe, but in Glendale at the "University of Phoenix Stadium".

Tempe is holding the Insight Bowl on December 29th. Somehow I can't include the words "featuring" and "Minnesota Gophers" in the same sentence. Put your Nuvite money on Kansas State. Wildcats vs. Gophers? What were we thinking with that team name??

Soldiermedic, yes, we anticipate lots of fun on game nights this winter. The players look eager to play and the coach, oh! what a relief Change is good. Here's to black and gold at the Zou! ~G

I grew up in Missouri and went to Mizzou and always root for the Tigers when I can, but my husband is a UCLA Bruin and another family member is a USC Trojan. Living in Los Angeles, you would think those two schools are the only ones on the planet. It is nice to know someone else is a Tiger fan. pj

You're right, Glendale. Thought I read Cardinal stadium for both games. Obviously not.

Cardinal Sadium is now University of Phoenix Stadium (UPS), for a few million a year it could have been azflycaster stadium....

Ahhh, Richard -- I'm still laughing! We'd have pitched in -- start the thread today, I'm sure you'll have $35 tomorrow.
But tell me -- does U of Phoenix have a single building or PhD level prof? (beyond the investors, that is...). I am so mixed up in this internet age. I recently met a supposed Masters Degree level social worker who failed to pass licensure -- and they admitted they'd never taken a single exam during their entire masters program! (not U of Phoenix thank goodness) Talk about "dumbing down"....

WOW, I read up a little on that stadium... very impressive. Why'd they put it in Glendale? Tempe has such a college style about it and a Hooters restaurant to boot. Go figure.

My team? Ohio State and I'm not just saying that because of this year.
Jim Tressell is my hero. Bring on USC, Florida or that school up north again!

Tempe is where the game belongs. I think politics may have had a little to do with the location. It is next to the Glendale Arena (NHL) and Cabela's. It also takes a very big piece of land to fit a stadium into.

Yeah, but with a slide out field that cool...who cares how much desert real estate it takes up .

A couple of observations.
It is The University of Phoenix Stadium because they bought the naming rights....primarily an online university.
It is not the Arizona State Sun Devil's home....it is the home of the Phoenix Cardinals.

My team?
Texas Tech Red Raiders
In the photo, I am the one with the shotgun mic on the boom at the cointoss vs Texas.
I work with the games with Texas Tech Radio Network on the sidelines.
