Classic Cars
I've seen a lot of threads looking for a common........thread (I feel like Austin Powers) among those of us who have aluminitis: books, games, camping activities, etc. The one item that I've noticed alot lately is a reference to classic cars/specialty vehicles. In the past week I have seen mention of '40 Cadillacs, '60 Cadillacs, '62 Impala, Harley Davidsons, '57 Safari Wagons, and many more. I've seen NorCal Bambi's '68 Ford TV and scotandlilly's '68 International (beautiful), and recently a thread on a really nice C10 Chevy pickup. I know MYOUNG has a very nice Porsche. It seems llike many of us are into our vehicles. I'm just wondering what else is out there. I've been hooked on cars since before I was old enough to drive one. Now, among the fleet I have several Chevys: '55 210 post, '55 handyman wagon, '55 Nomad, and '64 Impala convertible. The thing that is the best about our AS is that Deb is just as excited about it as I am. So, what other cars/bikes/trucks are you folks so proud of? I'll bet there are some beauties. Pictures would be nice. I will even try to figure out how to post mine.

Classic Cars
Greetings Ron and Debbie!
Collector cars and collector trailers seem to go together. I am something of a packrat and have sold very few of the cars that I have owned over the years. My current stable includes:
- 1960 Studbaker Lark VIII convertible -- Jonquil Yellow with black and white interior (no current photos -- 275,000 miles ownd since 1977).
- 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible -- 383 Cubic Inch/HO V8, Dark Poly Blue with white and blue interior -- owned since 1975. {Pictured Below}
- 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible -- Light Blue exterior and interior -- owned since 1995. {Pictured Below}
- 1978 Plymouth Horizon Deluxe -- Emerald Greeen exterior/silver green interior -- family heirloom -- second one delivered to our local Chrysler Plymouth dealer -- 60,000 miles. {no current photos}
- 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible -- Dark Spinnaker Blue exterior with white interior -- owned since 1994 under 88,000 miles. {No current photos}
- 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham Luxury Sedan -- special ordered by my mother will all options except the astro roof. {no current photos}
1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible with my first new trailer in 1980 -- Nomad Light Weight Spcial 17' at Clound Nine Ranch in Caufield, MO August, 1980.
1975 Eldorado Convertible with my 1978 Minuet on our failed attempt to attend the WBCCI International Rally in Springfield, MO. My 1978 Plymouth Horizon can be seen peeking out of the corner of the photo.

Mustangs!
This is Deja Bloo, the 68 mustang I restored. I sold it to John Z in WV who finished up the paint and got it in a calendar! I'm very proud of it
I have also finished a 68 corvette convertible a friend started, rescued a down and out 84 SVO mustang, and last year I hunted down and brought home my very first mustang, a 74 Mach 1. I'm modding it and putting in an SVO turbo motor.
Ah, Mustangs! They can't tow, but I love em!
Oh, and I guess I restored a 68 Airstream Caravel too, I'm pretty proud of that

Ron, this little one is our favorite. Our 1967 Citroen Ami-6 Break. As far as we know, very few have made it into the USA. She was shipped over in 2001 from Normandy. She's not much of a puller with a 2 cylinder engine, but the smiles we get crusing her around the coastline are priceless!

90 Alfa
Our summer only car is a 1990 Alfa Romeo Spyder (photo below). Just over 50,000 miles.
Would love to have a stable of older sports cars and a 'rainy day car', say a 1930's or early 40's American sedan.

I'm one of them too.
We have in our garage the following residents:
1. Norman T. Bird - Norman is a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, Peacock Blue in Color.
Norman has been a member of our family for 25 years. Norman just turned
50 on March 9th of this year. Norman is on the raod almost every day. He
is the most popular car in the Publix parking lot.
2. Henrietta - Henrietta is a 1931 Ford Cabriolet. We have had Henrietta since
1988. She has a B engine and a Mitchell overdrive, so she runs the streets
much faster than she should.
3. Harvey DeLorean - Harvey is a 1981 DeLorean. He has been in our family
the past twenty years. His stainless finish makes him look like an
Airstream.
4. Ichabod Isseta - Ikky is a 1958 BMW Isetta. He is one of the smallest
Cars ever mass produced.

I had many classics over the years..
1970 AMX 360 4 speed
1969 427 Corvette coupe
1972 Pinto ( 300HP 302 V8 )
1970 BOSS Mustang
and more but my favourite was my 1976 AMC Pacer. I bought the 2 year old Pacer grocery getter (six, automatic) in 1978, cut it all up and put it back together with a little imagination. The drivetrain is a 300HP Ford 302/5 speed with 9" Nodular rear). This car was wider and lower than my 69 Corvette.

Hi Ron and Debbie
I've had a lot of cars over the years, several 68 to 72 Corvettes (big blocks), first series Camaro's, 567 Chev's and Pontiacs (we use our 57 Safari as our Airstream tow vehicle) and Chevelle's (current project is a 70SS Big block 4 gear - low miler, numbers matched car I'm just about done a complete resto on = I picked it up as a project car that the prior owner started and ran out of steam). I've also had mustangs, a 32 Ford and Chev Tudors, yeah, I've got it really really really bad. Fortunately my wife is as involved as I am and the Airstream is simply an extension of our car habit. We have always had at least one hotrod/muscle car in the shop at any one time but usually several on the go at any one time. I actually sold a '55 Bel Air convert to buy the '57 Safari 26 years ago and should have just kept it but room was an issue at that time. As soon as the Chevelle is done either this coming summer or the next I will then use it to haul the Airstream for a while and will then redo some of the Safari. I've got my eye on a '70 Mach 1 Mustang and the fellow also has a Boss 302, he says neither are for sale but I know he will be selling one for sure, possibly both, and I'm just waiting. Here's a pic of the twin to my Chevelle project - mine is identical less the windshield, back glass and interior yet to go on - maybe this spring.... . Every nut, bolt, and part has been refurbished, repainted, and the car will virtually be a brand new '70 Chevelle when it hits the street.
I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of your cars - it sounds as though you, like many of our fellow forums members, have quite a stable. Life is good

Wow, you did an amazing job on the Pacer. I take it from the way you've worded your message that you no longer have it. I'm sure it is quite the head turner. I forwarded the picture to a buddy who's doing a '64 hardtop into a much modified hotrod and takes a lot of ribbing from the Ford/Chevy/Dodge guys. He's also got a '64 Riv and a 66 Chevy II but he's heads down on the 'blur as he calls it. He will get some significant motivation when he sees your car.
Thanks for sharing.

I knew it!
I knew you car guys were lurking out there. But it's even better than I thought. Wouldn't you like to have some of those cars back. That Pacer is too much. And the Alfa? Sweet. I might give a couple of my 55s up for that Red Chevelle. I can't wait to see more. This my fix for Chevy Forums. I haven't been on there since I got hooked here. No time.

Allright folks,
You have seen the 1977 Lincoln, but here it is again with its big brother the 1973 Dodge W200 PowerWagon.

Love It
Citroens (I always wanted a Citroen/Maserati) Scorpions (we want a better picture), Mustangs (Stef: we have an '86 convertible. I'd love to know how yours comes out).
Empresley: Love to see that MG if you have a pic.
Overlander: An Eldo convertible and an AS is just plain not fair. You have to leave some toys for the rest of us!

Here is a picture of Ichabod Isetta. The small image in the lower left hand corner is Ikky with his door open. Yes, the front of the car is his door. Ikky is a real 1958 BMW; he is eight feet long and weighs 850 pounds. He thinks that he could easily tow a 28' Airstream, Shhhhh!
