Clarksdale, Mississippi
Following the Blues Highway, Mississippi #61, I found SEVEN Airstreams of various vintage and condition parked near downtown Clarksdale when I passed through there on January 09.
There was nobody at the place; I was headed for Memphis and I didn’t have time to start asking around town.
Anybody know anything about these and/or who owns them? Just curious.
Wow! Makes me wish I was going to Clarksdale to check them out. It's about a 5 hour drive from here.
Alright O&S - you and I need a road trip - just one truck and a ride up to check these out. Only one problem - I'm on a ship in the Persian Gulf and will not be home until the end of March - until then you need to think this one over.
Kind'a reminds me of what's at the intersection of MS607 and I59 south of Picayune, a bunch of trailers for workers during Katrina - in there are 3 late '70s and early '80s Airstreams. I stopped twice and talked to the owner - a little shifty and did not want to talk too much - sad, they are unlevel and in a grass field.

Clancy boy,
Sounds good to me-I'm ready, just say when. We were in Clarksdale last summer to take our son to a music camp at Delta State. We were going to bring the A/S & camp at a state park on the Mississippi River near Clarksdale, but the park was closed due to flooding.
I don't think going tomorrow on Valentine's Day with the wife would go over too good.
