So Camping World is offering Buy Three Get One Free on Bilstein Shocks with a $40 "Let us install" per shock. I bought my shocks online and took the shocks to the Denton, TX store for the install deal. The guy gets my truck on the rack then tells me he wants $180 plus tax to install EACH to install the front shocks.
I can understand a 20% "oh crap we didn't foresee this configuration, but NOT a 325% increase. Feels like a bait & switch.
Has anyone else had similar issues with a Camping World retail store? This is my first experience with them.

I hope you did not do the del. If not PM me and I can get it done by a shop LOTS cheaper.

The special install rates apply only to parts sold by Camping World. Why would they give you special low install rates if they didn't make the profit on the sale?
After making a complaint to the Retail Customer Service department, they called me back with a quick apology and offered a $25.00 gas card for my troubles. I thought that was very nice. I'll still buy product from Camping World. I just won't go there for service.

Ah,more info. So you did purchase from CW. Then you were right in complaining, good job. Unless there is a stipulation saying the shocks must be purchased from the installing store. I see none so you were correct. Jim
