Good for them! I always thought outlawing xxxxx was ridiculous.

We felt lucky to be able to xxxxxx in Idaho, Montana, Washington (well, maybe not Washington), and Oregon. Some people gave us looks though so we tried to xxxxxx behind the trailer so nobody would see. On a sunny day, who could resist? It's actually refreshing. Like being a kid again.

WOW, I'm very much out of touch! I had no idea some places laws against xxxxxx. Why I could have arrested, tarred and featured, and placed in the village stockade for public humiliation. My mother loved using xxxxxx, God bless her. She would be amazed by all the fuss over xxxxxx.

Doug and I xxxxx in our backyard all the time.
The backyard, with lots of sun and fresh air is the best place to xxxxx.....only the occasional neighbor driving by or peeking over the fence.
I still xxxxx in the backyard, tho not as much and often just on the patio.

We NEVER xxxxx where I live, mostly out of fear that one of our neighbors would turn us in.

Well, being from upstate New York, the EMPIRE State (Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Empire), we have the SAFE Act that protects us from ALL the gun-wielding thugs in the state, provided they have registered their guns and/or filled out the proper forms when they purchased them. I see this as a incoming issue as many down-state folks move to our area and want everything left as natural and undeveloped as possible so they can enjoy the "view". What they see besides the trees and streams is houses falling apart or for sale, roads with potholes big enough to swallow a Prius, empty manufacturing plants, run-down and/or non-operational small farms, etc. However, we are getting a few new Casinos to drain away unwary resident's income that they haven't paid in taxes in addition to emptying tourist pockets. I could see this clothesline issue becoming the TIDE Act in New York to prevent Gun-Owners from hiding from the Police behind a freshly washed T-shirt... OBW, we do have a very beautiful state, especially upstate in the Fall...
Travel Safe and watch out for that flapping T-shirt,
James
Regards,
James

That's a scream! I wonder if that bill was introduced by some guy named Captain Obvious?
Bob, somehow you're able to sift thru all the internet chaff and find the truly weird. Keep it up! Ever considered writing for The Onion.com?

About time someone stood up to HOAs.
When I lived in LA as a child my mom dried the laundry outside. Once we could afford a drier she never did it again. I doubt many will start drying outdoors unless electric and gas rates go through the roof.

I love to hang my sheets, quilts, blankets.......well, most everything out on the line! My favorite time of the year is when the temperature is cooler and it's "crisp" outdoors. IMO, there is nothing much better than climbing into bed after the sheets have been hung out on the line and smell so sweet. The smell transports me back to my childhood and I feel so fortunate to be able to continue to enjoy this luxury.
