Calijuana! Yes!! Let's try it out. Use it in a sentence.
I'm from Calijuana and our state animal is the Chupacabra (or the Jackalope).
Sounds good!! This is going to be one bad-a** state!

The Capitol would, of course, be Calexico

I would actually be 100% in favor of this plan

Florida and Colorado have similar initiatives in the works. We in north Fl would like nothing more than to separate from the south. Of course we would have to give them Gainesville, no loss there. Sorry to hi lack. Jim

No problem for me. Not my thread. However, I do find the subject shows the wide spread discontent of people in the areas effected. It will be interesting to see how this all goes.

This has popped up in other states before too. I remember it once or twice in Washington state. The driving force is usually the same. One side or the other of some (or many) issues feel the can't get a fair shake with status quo. in California, that's apparently 6 sides.
I did start this thread partly at least (if not mostly) so we could have some fun kicking the idea around. That part is working so far, as long as we don't get into the emotions of it. In California, I don't even know what that is.
Anyone have any more ideas of where I would enjoy living. I want to be no further that a couple hours drive from the ocean. For the time being, I am ignoring the drought, hoping it will go away. It would be fun to take the dozen or so tropical plants my wife moves from the patio to the sunroom and back every year and plant them in the ground. One area I have been looking at on the internet is the Vista, Fallbrook and Bonsall area.

In that case, I'd better not bring up the issue of Cajun separatists in south Louisiana! Which I'm not bringing up because there really aren't any worth mentioning. It was a hoax by Walton and Johnson, a couple of offbeat New Orleans radio jockeys.

We are currently at the Elks in Chula Vista, CA, ( I have heard it referred to as Chula Juana) not far at all from the ocean. Been here a month. Have been flying our kites overlooking the Pacific Ocean nearly every day. Fish and Chips, Mexican food, good Pizza joints, good burger joints, and nice weather. There would be worse places to spend time.
