Business trip to Boston VS Charleston, SC?

Just looking for quick opinions from those well traveled. My company is sending me to a training course. My choice is either up in Boston, MA or down in Charleston, SC. I'll be in town for 5 days either way. Anyone recommend one over the other?

Never been to Boston. Charleston rocks.

Grew up in Boston, so I am prejudiced - it depends on when you are going. Anytime starting in May and you are good to go IMHO. GREAT city, great area - you could stay at one of our favorite campgrounds (you are traveling with silver, right?) in Salem, right in Salem Harbor, called Winter Island. Boston is a must see town.

Charleston is great as well. Of all the choices you need to make in your life, this will not be your hardest - you can't make a bad choice.

Sadly no AS in tow. I'll be flying from overseas to attend the course on or around 18-31MAR. Charleston sounds like a winner so far if I'm considering the weather. It's nice and warm where I am right now and I don't really have any winter/cold weather clothing with me, come to think of it...

We like both cites and there' s much to see and do. Given the middle to late March time frame for your trip I'd pick Charleston IIWM.

Spring is arriving in the South with the Yellow Bells, Bradford Pears and Peach Tress already well into bloom.

If your schedule, budget, and waistline permit you might consider desert and coffee at the Peninsula Grill. The coconut cake...Well it has a well deserved reputation.

Ultimate Coconut Cake from the Peninsula Grill in Charleston, SC

Not the healthiest desert...but unbelievably good eats.
