Brookwood RV Park Marietta, Ga
Has anyone ever camped at this RV park?

Need to go to Marietta for the week of Jan 8-12th and thinking of staying there. Either there or it's a hotel.

Paul,
Never stayed there, but took a quick look at their web page. I'd do it in a heartbeat - this is a great time of year to sneak the rig out and begin the camping year right.
See you down the road. Pat

I just took a look at the web site also. Looks like a nice place. Keep in mind that the traffic in Atlanta is uh, bad. Really, Really bad. Try to arrive and leave mid-day, mid-night, or on the weekend!

Marietta
Depending on what you are going up for and if you just have to be in the Marietta area, I would look elsewhere. The traffic is horrific going to and from downtown with an average speed of around 75-80. I would look for something in North Georgia up 575 or 400. Good luck....

if you stay at the Corps of Engineers Park, McKinney Campground on Lake Allatoona, you will be minutes from Marietta. Its a nice park with fairly easy access to the highway at the Hwy 92 exit on I 75.

I'll be in training
I be in training about 2 miles away at the Courtyard Hotel off of "Delk Rd"(I think) with IBM. I could stay at a hotel during the time I'll be in training on the company, but felt funny about either unhitching at the hotel to go to class or dragging the trailer back and forth to class every day! So, I thought it might be just as easy to stay in the camper at a campground (IBM should love me for saving them about $100.00 a day on lodging)

Let IBM Pay for it...
I have been to that training facility as I worked with IBM in the past. You should still count on a very long drive to the facility with Traffic. It used to take me an hour from that location to go four miles.
I would stay as close as possible and let IBM pay for it....

We live in Marietta, and I would be happy to take a ride to check the place out.
Several things to consider. It may be Georgia, but it will still be January, and you would have to at least consider freezing temperatures. From looking at a map, the RV park location would be convenient to the (I presume) big IBM site on Northside Parkway or whatever. The good news is that you would never need to get on a highway to get to IBM. Even with traffic I would guess a 30 minute commute. However, the campground is just off of Route 41 - it will not be a glorious campground - you will be in an urban environment - no bald eagle sightings if you catch my drift..
Anyway, more than happy to check out the campground for you!
