Blue Ridge Parkway Virginia section

Good afternoon fellow Airstreamers!
I'd like to let you knoe that if you are headed to the Floyd county/Roanoke County areas of the Parkway that a part of it is closed down for repairs due to a land slide that also took out several hundred feet of roadway. Oh, not to mention that it is also missing the section under that roadway also. Here is the blurb from the NPS on this. And since I live very close to the Parkway and closer yet to the Airstream Park over here in Check, Virginia I figured ya'll might like to know.

"The Parkway motor road will remain closed to all uses south of Milepost 121.4 (U.S. 220) to Milepost 135.9 (Adney Gap) due to a full road failure roughly one hundred and fifty feet (150') in length near milepost 128. This complex road failure will require a closure of at least 12 to 18 months. Visitors are reminded that, due to the hazardous nature of this slope failure, this section is closed to all uses including motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians."

Thank you for letting us know. Must check this out. Planned to go north on BRP later this spring. Oh well, there Are alternatives. Not Bent Mountain, I hope. Fun without a trailer.... with one, not so much.
