Stolen-2004 16' Bambi
My name is Christopher C. Deam and I am the designer of the International CCD line of trailers. My custom built 2004 16' International CCD Bambi has been stolen. This is a one of a kind trailer with several unique features. It is the ONLY 16' Bambi ever made with 4 porthole windows on the street side and makes this trailer very easy to identify (other lengths have 4 portholes, but the 16’ only has two). It also has full wrap-around windows on both the front and back. It does not have a roof-mounted air conditioner, and it does not have front rock or window guards, which gives this trailer a distinctive look. It also has a roof-mounted solar panel. The interior is mostly stock with the "lemongrass" upholstery, but it does not have a stove exhaust hood. The trailer was taken from a storage lot in Sausalito California sometime in the last 3 weeks. If anyone has seen this trailer or has any information about its whereabouts, I would greatly appreciate your help, and thank you for your continued support.

I take a good look at every Airstream that I see, and will be on the look out for this one.

Melody Ranch,
Thanks for posting this. I missed the original post, and didn't know it had been stolen. I will certainly watch for it. What a bum deal.

I am so sorry to read about your Bambi being stolen. I was thinking for the ones who would, that we can print the picture and put in our vehichle so that every time we see one, we can look at the picture to make sure. Does it have any numbers or some way to identify it? I will keep my eyes open.

Greetings Chris-
Rich L. and I were talking about your trailer not too long ago and were wondering what the status is. As I mentioned so long ago, we are sorry to hear the news. Reposting here on the forums was a great idea with so many new eyes looking out there for your AS may turn something up. Chris I think we need to remind people to not aproach the trailer or person(s) associated with it but to call authorities immediatly. I am sure everyone shares my feelings in what a really cr###y thing to happen. Come on everyone let's hel Chris find his Bambi!

Probably already there, or a burned-out hulk in the desert. Chris did promise to let me know if and when it was found, but after all this time, it is probably in Airstream heaven.

I thought I saw it yesterday on I-25 southh of Denver, but it was the street side that had the 4 "portholes." I'm still looking.
On edit: just re-read the top post and realized it was the street side, but looking at the photo the one I saw must have been longer since the windows were further appart. (edit posted after Melody Ranch posted below--ouch).

Was it moving?
Great job! Was it moving toward Texas? Hooked up?
Lets get this guy. I am a Vigilante at heart.
P.S.
According to Chris, I believe, this is the ONLY one with four street side port holes/

Zep, According to the 1st post here by Melody Ranch his original post/statement was that his trailer was the "Only One" with 4 porthole windows on the "STREET SIDE"! Are you saying the one you saw had 4 porthole windows on the "CURB SIDE"? That would be too weird. Maybe you saw the stolen trailer after all! Ed

Bear in mind he says it is the only 16-footer with four portholes and that longer trailers also had the four portholes.
We'll keep our eyes out for it!

No, it was definitely longer than 16'. But the windows were on the street side (it was coming at me on the other side of the Interstate, so that's the only side I'd see).
I can't tell you how many times I've thought I've seen a short Airstream (my favorites), but after stopping I find they are longer. 20'-21' look like 18' to me from a distance.

I look all the time. I would love to know that the thieves have been caught, the trailer returned to it's rightful owner, and everything in the world is right again. The same goes for the lady who's Argosy got stolen in CA quite some time back. There was also a 50 Chev and a matching vintage SOB stolen on the BC coast last fall - sad to know that our trailers are potential targets. Keep them locked and whenever possible out of casual viewing when stored, and theft insurance is really important.
