Relatively new at the AS but at home with the instruments and love recording. Kinda 1st love from 60s70s. So nice to see others out there as well.

Always dreamed of dragging them (even more in closet) along on the adventures. But damn payload ! Oh well. Hope to meet some of you on the trail one day..........with the short list. Until an HD.

Ha! Reverted to hobbyist for now. Since 5 formally trained on piano, 6 started guitar, 9 trumpet. But guitar stuck. Tinker on all else. Used to be more occasional musician in bands for years but collage, kids and corporation inverted that to more casual in 55 years of playing. Invited into few bands and some small recording stints last 10 years. Still personally end up solo in home studio for hours at a time....when time. Less drama. Love to record, mix, master and all the tech stuff around it. Miss playing but lots of stuff to do out there!

Now challenge is to miniaturize the studio must haves and bring 'em on the road!

Thanks Vantair!

We have worked hard for the past two years to try to restore the place back to the way it was before some ill planned platform changes did a number on the place. If you are into DAW's, you probably know of a gentleman who I am honored to share an ajoined office with ... Craig Anderton!

Good to find fellow musicians with a passion for airstreaming!

Say What? Can Remember for decades reading endless articles on all forms of recording medium of the day chronicled by Craig Anderton in publications and "Electronic Musician". We are digressing but so cool to learn this connection.... and yet due to Airstreams !

I take my LXM Martin travel guitar when things are tight but have lately been taking my full-size Gibson Mark 35 - in it's case it travels on the bed. When we stop, it rests nicely in the shower! The Martin is pretty remarkable for its size but I like the Gibson when we have room. I have taken my Gretsch 6120 as well (semi-acoustic) a few times because it's so nice... but the Gibson makes more sense unless there is a reason for the electric.

I am not a musician, but sometimes I bring my Mackie sound gear in the ZO mobile for those who have talent.
If I am not pushing to much wattage, I can do on Solar power now.

I'm a drummer, but I do play at guitar. Just got a Traveler Pro Series Mod-X...full scale, breaks down into the bag which takes up almost no room in the 27FB's closet.

Probably could use the Airforums to alert where you may be to attract talent to mic up !

Will do.
I just finished my last one for the year. The one in the photo is at Yasgur's Farm for the Woodstock reunion. I use to have my own small stage near that spot for scheduled performances, but I am cutting back so they leveled me a great spot for the Airstream with power and water and I call it my front porch. We have had some good times there in the last few years.
This event is always in mid August.
Here is a clip from 2015. A fellow named Franky D wandered into our camp and this is what happened:

Way cool! !. Random join or invited musicians the best .... Sometimes. So Nice that you provide stage where otherwise unavailable. Must ask about limiter, compression and eq. Sorry... Sonics have always been a passion. ...perhaps another forum...

For a quick reply on that, I am more of a sound purest. Just like nature, what goes into the mic, should come out of the speakers amplified unchanged. There are few exceptions, but out in the woods, using KISS is best:
(Keep It Simple, Stupid)
If an artist wants their sound amplified any other way, they need to bring the gear to patch it in.
One exception is the girl singing in the video, she has a set of vocal cords that can distort any preamp. I have never found a perfect solution for vocalists like her. Compressor-limiters muddy the sound, so teaching them distance from the mic is the best I can do
