Airstream repairs-where to go?

Hi fellow airstreamers! We are back in the airstream and looking for a reputable place to have our water pump replaced. We tried Camper Clinic II in Buda Texas and they have no idea what they are doing! Caused more problems than they solved for us. Can anyone recommend a place in the Austin/Hill Country area in Texas? We own a 2011 25FB Flying Cloud.

Thanks Y’all!

I don't know where the Hill Country is, but A+P is in Texas. https://www.apvintagetrailerworks.com/

Why not diy?
It's like a 10 minute job.

Any RV place would be able to replace a water pump, even a mobile repair tech could do this.

I have used my AllStays app for RV repair near me, or in the direction I am going, also google where there are often others.

Good luck,

Maggie

I agree it is a DIY job. But if you must have someone else do it, I personally found the strategy of finding the nearest Five Rivet Dealership works for me.

ME Automotive did some great work on a class C I redid awhile back, they were very honest. They are in Buda across the highway from CC2.

Handyman or plumber could do it I would think.

Water pump... Buda...

Funny, but not really. I am currently having a "dialog" with CamperClinic in Buda because I left my airstream with them for 4 weeks with a very small list of things to do. One was to address a water pump problem.

Four weeks later, when I went to pick it up, they said it was fixed. I asked for a "walk through" with the tech and, well, the problem was still there. They called a senior tech out and they futzed with it for 20 minutes and pronounced the water pump was faulty. However, it was now 5 PM and they couldn't get it addressed that day, and I was leaving the next day. SO I got billed for "fixing it" and it was even fixed for 30 seconds.

Oh well.

The water pump is one of the easiest DIY projects you can take on.

Hello all,
It sounds like replacing the water pump is doable, so my question now is what pump should I use? The current pump in our airstream -Sureflo #4900-0201- isn’t available any longer. Does anyone have a recommendation for a pump that is better quality and longer lasting to replace this one with? I’ve read about lots of problems with water pumps being faulty. Our airstream is a 25’ FB Flying cloud. Thanks for your help!
