Well I don't know if it is for a good cause. It could be used for a good cause like treating patients for sickness and injuries.

It is.
I know people who have used medical marijuana and they report it has helped them a lot with chronic pain. Frequent use causes a tolerance so they don't get high and can go on with their lives with no or less pain. The alternatives are narcotics which will make it hard to do anything or ibuprofen which has limited ability with chronic and severe pain and may cause stomach or liver problems.
Generations of misinformation have made it hard for the public to believe this, but it is true. Opponents of the dispensaries claim they will bring crime, but there is no proof of that. Actually liquor stores, convenience stores and banks bring crime because all get robbed frequently, so they should be banned as well (and bank CEO's may be criminals as well).

All you have to do is watch someone in the last stages of the BIG C.

A new WBCCI Intraclub . . . ?
of Weedstreams! This new group likely would bring a younger demographic to the WBCCI, a good thing indeed. And unlike VAC members who get under the IBT's skin, and vice versa, these new Weedstreamers would blissfully let the EC7's command and control tactics roll off their backs like, well, water off the inside wall of a hookah. They would bring a new mellowness to WBCCI rallies and spread the gospel of brotherhood, sistahood and all-around togetherness. And who knows, the mucky-mucks might even set aside their pain pills and try medicating their aches in a cloud of smoke. And there is no better place to ignite this new intraclub than the Mile High City! (We already have a head start). If it catches on, the forums will have to create a new, more mellow and chillin' Wallicon: And I might have to become 47WeedWind. :<>

There but for the grace of God we go, huh? If smoking a plant brings them any comfort in that battle, I'm happy to step back and let them do it.
Never done the stuff myself... but I'm glad to see public opinion shifting towards giving doctors and patients the benefit of the doubt.

Really??? We have a starbucks about every 1.5 miles around here in Chicagoland. That would be insane.

This sounds like a wonderful use for a vintage Airstream.
If you've ever heard the announcer guy rattling off the side effects of some of the new meds on the market these days. I think I would prefer, may cause one to polish off a box of ice cream sandwiches, or may contribute to the demise of a box of Coco puffs and carton of milk. Rather than may cause anal leakage, or may cause (heaven forbid) death, any day.

A lot, if not all, medical marijuana laws and constitutional amendments were approved by the public in referendums (actually "referenda" but the Latin usage seems to be disappearing). Then, the legislature tries to limit the laws and amendments.
In 2000, Colorado voters approved a constitutional amendment. Eventually to serve the need, dispensaries started appearing and last year the legislature passed a law putting very high fees and restrictions on the dispensaries. This drives prices up so medical marijuana becomes more and more expensive, just like prescription narcotics and other drugs for various diseases. A board was set up to enact regulations and they have made it even more difficult for dispensaries to operate. The board appears to be stacked with opponents of medical marijuana. Lawsuits inevitably appear.
Montana has a medical marijuana law. I was told it was adopted by referendum of the public. The state House has voted to repeal it. New Mexico has a medical marijuana system and the new governor is apparently against it.
The pattern is clear—the public votes it in, the politicians try to eliminate it.
Glad to see Airstreams are being used for the public wishes.
