Airstream parts tax

I am pretty new to the forum and have a 2021 classic.
Have about 5000 miles on the trailer since I bought it in September.
Someone - I think at a shop I take my truck too borrowed (stole) my voyager rear view camera monitor! Shame on me for leaving it in the truck console.
So I check out Amazon find the unit and get ready to order it. Just as a precaution I call my dealer to make sure I have the right model number etc. The dealer has the unit in stock , gives me the model number and quotes me a price.

Now, I have driven P cars for years. Have a 2013 911s and a 2017 cayenne turbo right now. I also drive corvettes. Have a 2017 Z06 right now. The point is I am used to paying the inflated parts prices for these cars. We all know they are marked up a stupid amount.
HOWEVER I received the largest quote of ridiculousness I have ever received today.

The amazon part (same model number) $277
The Airstream part $540
I asked the parts guy to check again and he said yep!
I then quoted him the amazon price and he said “That’s less than we pay for them”.
I suggested perhaps they should buy their parts from amazon, thanked him, hung up and ordered the part from Amazon. It arrives November 2 with free shipping.
SHEESH!
