A sad passing

I bought my trailer a little over 2 years ago from JoAnn Bennett who had just lost her husband of many years. Together they had owned 4 Airstreams.

The day I met her and saw the trailer we hit it off and she reminded me so much of my already deceased mom I did'ent have the heart to negotiate the price!

Since then we spoke frequently each calling on a whim or me to tell her what I was fixing or modifying on the AS.

Today I called only to have her daughter inform me she had passed away but that she really loved our chats. JoAnn had called me a couple weeks ago "just to talk" but I believe it was more than that.

Fair well JoAnn and thanks for all your advice on YOUR Airstream

Your relationship obviously meant a lot - and I'm sorry for your own loss of those conversations you had - I'm sure you will carry on her memory in the continuing adventures of that Airstream.

Thanks for sharing this touching story. Your Airstream is a little bit more special having known JoAnn. Keep enjoying it and remembering her. Life is too short. We just got our first Airstream and we are taking our first trip with it this weekend.

How special - you obviously didn't need to be related for that trailer to be an heirloom. Glad to hear you were able to provide her with the joy of hearing about your adventures.

The real joy Airstreams bring us is the connection between people who are touched by them. What a great reminder of that. Sorry for the loss of your friend, but I'm sure she enjoyed the time you spent chatting.

What a touching story, to keep friends is just wonderful. I just sent photos of our maiden trip to the PO. We keep in touch. Maybe is is a very special AS thing.
