Thumbs up A great company..

While winterizing the "Banana" last Tuesday I noticed the front Fantastic Fan vent cover was cracked around all the hinge mount holes. (screws were way to tight) Wonder how that happened.
E-mailed the company, explained the situation. Today when I got home from work a new cover, complete with improved lift arm, was sitting on the back porch. No questions asked.
I don't care what other brands are on the market, if I ever need a new one, for whatever reason, it WILL be a Fantastic Fan.

Congrats people you've got a GREAT company!!

I agree with your opinion, Fantastic has a very good product, and excellent customer service. I also think if you are even thinking about considering a Fantastic Fan, you should get one right away. The RV manufacturers going belly-up can't be helping their bottom line, and I'm sure they can use all the aftermarket sales they can get.

Hmmmm, I think my Flying Cloud needs a Christmas gift right about now

Thanks for the great suggestion, and perfect timing. My cat was just wondering what to get the trailer this year

I agree that the Fantastic Fan is a great product made by a great company that stands behind their product. Many other companies in this country could learn how to run a good business from these people.

I had a very similar experience with shurflow. The pump stopped working, I called for technical support and they instead sent me a new pump. I love my fantastic fan too.

Other Great Companies...

It occurred to me after starting this thread yesterday that there are probably quite a few companies that we have dealt with thru our Airstream lifestyle with similar results.
With the economy in the state it's in this may be the perfect time to spread the word. Lets try to keep it positive, but the negative also needs to be brought out.

Maybe with the Mods help we could get it switched to the Off-topic Forum.

Lets share!!

Bob - This is in the off topic forum as you requested (we also provide great customer service).

The Fantastic people are,,,fantastic.
I have had parts shipped free to me for my Endless Breeze fan that they also make. One time it was for a piece that fell into the bathroom sink never to be seen again.

Another company that I have found great to work with is ZipDee. When I damaged my awning, the president of the company contacted me and offered to repair a damaged part at no cost to me except for shipping.

I can see where this could get to be an expensive Christmas for the cat

Oh well, someone has to keep the economy out of the litter box

This thread is a great idea. It is very much appreciated to see a thread that is focused on the positive side of the purchasing equation rather than the negative. Too often we are quick to identify the ones who are not meeting our expectations and we forget to acknowledge the folks who do go the extra mile and understand what customer service means.

You know, I too have had great service from Fantastic, but...

I have had three failures, none of which I can attribute to improper or unusual use. Seems like it would be better if they made a product that didn't fail with normal use. Then they could still give great service and free parts when something did go wrong.

Thumbs up Bose customer service

Some more good customer service.

About 10 days before leaving on an extended trip to our favorite campground last July I decided that it would be great to have a radio/cd player which we could use around the campfire. I have been using Bose equipment at home for the last twenty some years and thought that their Wave 2 system would be just the ticket. Sooper sound from a very compact system. The sales rep assured me that I would have it in plenty of time.
Well, when it arrived I was more than a little dissappointed when the player in the main unit would not work. The changer component worked fine. When I called the customer service department and explained the situation and they offered to replace it ASAP. They would mail me a return shipping label and as soon as it was in the tracking system would ship the new component. I was concerened that it would not arrive soon enough for our trip and told them so. They then offered to ship the new player next day air with the shipping label. Sure enough it arrived the next day and I went right to UPS and sent the original back.

So if your in the market for a GREAT sounding player for your Airstream consider the Bose Wave Music System, it even comes in cool silver.

Maybe a good idea for another thread would be Christmas gift suggestions for our trailers and motor homes. I don't think Wal-Mart will go out of business if we got a Fantastic Fan, or Thetford toilet, or Shur-Flo water pump, instead of the rice-steaming wok with saute pan. It may, however, help those companies keep their heads above water for a while.
