I also own a Spartanette, and am on their yahoo group. This just came across:
Hello, Group:
I know this is the wrong site, but just trying to pass the word
for the museum.
Found in abandoned junk yard: Western Okla. Panhandle
1950 Airstream "Cruiser 25" Serial# 6002, which makes it the 2nd
Cruiser 25 made by Airstream when model was introduced in
1950.
Confirmed by Vintageairstream.com.
The Good: The body shell is in restorable condition, both interior
and exterior. Has an interesting serial#.
The Bad: Trailer would have to be TRAILERED to new home. Floor
is shot. Some cabinets and closets still exist. For most part,
interior is in poor condition. Axle still there, but no brakes, hubs,
bearings, or wheels. Frame is in poor condition.
We are just trying to save it from the crusher, if someone is
interested.
don't know any more than that, but I can try and put you in touch if anyone has an interest. I am already close to getting clobbered.
