Windshield Curtains Needed

Does anyone know of a good source for front windshield curtains. The two-part curtains that slide around to cover the front windshield and side windows. The ones I have are badly stained and need to be replaced. I've been able to locate the hangers that go on the track that get sewed onto the curtains, but I'm looking for options on the curtains themselves. I've measured the ones I have, and they come in at 84" wide and 32" long. Blackout curtains would be best. I've seen custom curtains for sale, but not willing to spend $400+ on them.

Since no one seems to have options, I decided to do something a little different. My plan is to buy ready made blackout curtains and modify them to work for the windshield.

I'm looking at picking up a set of curtains that are around 96" x 40" and hang them sideways.
Found these from JC Penny's.:

https://www.jcpenney.com/p/sun-zero-...r_Confirmation

Ready-made off the shelf curtains go for around $40 a set. I'll sew in the hangers every 6" and sew in the Velcro closures at the end (originally the bottom) of the curtains. I'll add the attachment fasteners that attach it to the wall on the other end (originally the top of the curtains) using this tool that I already own.

https://www.amazon.com/Fastener-Adju...1zcF9hdGY&th=1

I found these sew in sliders that are an exact match for the ones that are on the original curtains.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I tested the ones I received and they're a perfect fit for the original rail. Figure I'll need 3 packages of 14 to do the complete job.

If this plan works out, it will save me hundreds of dollars v/s custom curtains. Total cost would come in at less than $80. If they don't work out, then I've just invested some time to get the wife refamiliarize with her sewing machine.

Sounds about what we did with the 310 when the wife did them.

Just an FYI, do not use the elastic that comes with the track sliders, replace with a solid fabric strap.

Just curious as to why not to use the elastic straps? The original curtains used the same elastic material. Given the material has long since lost it "elastic nature" the part that was below the stitch was still elastic. I purchased some new material just in case but would still like to know why not to use the original material.

The weight on that strap will stretch and will loose there stretch over time anyway.
Also we were using a tan color of curtain, and after they had stretched out, we replaced them with a closer color strap.
Might not need to replace them, but this was our experience.

I think I found some that would work using "3/8 beige webbing" as my search parameters. What material did you use? Nylon or cotton? Trying to find something that would be easy to sew but still last.

Not sure what the wife used, but they were a little shiny, so think they would have been of a nylon makeup strap.

Ordered some nylon webbing. We'll see how it works. Will post pictures once the curtains are complete.

Having made all the draperies for my 25-ft Excella from scratch and having made curtains for a vintage bus conversion in the past, I can say that making them at home is certainly doable. Having originals to use as a pattern is a huge help. I did all mine on a 1950s-era Pfaff domestic sewing machine.

Airstream curtains

I also used blackout curtains. I needed the track as well and bought everything from sailrite.com.

OK, finally was able to finish the curtains. Purchased another type of curtain in order to get the size and color I wanted. The new curtains are 40" wide by 95" long. A little longer and wider than the factory curtains but they seem to fit OK without having to cut them. Of course, those dimensions are now rotated 90 degrees, so the curtains are actually hung sideways. The curtain slides I posted worked perfectly and so did the snap fastener tool. Here are some pics:
