First I thought you were right, and Ok, that explains how they got the steering to work with those fixed front wheel wells!
But I did a search and it seems it was built...

You'd have to get it a custom trailer that protected it but let ppl see the car... because I'm thinking that Thunderbolt is worth more than my house. In fact $6k in 1941 was probably more than most people's house cost at the time.
