Smile RV Makeover

I received my Jan 05 Camping world.
in it there is a makeover contest.
the title is "Has Your Road Warrior Seen Better Days?"
the Road Warroir pictured is a 345 I believe.
I guess they know we love our Motorhomes
the contest is worth $20k
maybe an Airstream Motorhome will be selected.
see www.CampingWorld.com/rvmakeover for details
contest end mar. 27, 2005

That's a 1989 370 model. The only classic MH made on the Gillig chassis and Ford 460 engine. That one looks in pretty good shape compared to the 1985 345 I used to have. The 370 was only made in 1989 and only 15 were made.

I believe that was the last winner, if I remember correctly.

Why an Airstream?

Why do you suppose they chose to use an Airstream in the publication?

Maybe because it's one of only a few coaches that can actually be made over?

Hard to remodel your garden-variety SOB without a total demolish job beforehand. Besides, who'd wanna do that?

na....they chose it since Camping World barely has a clue how to maintain or fix an Airstream without charging "extra" for it and needed some pointers.

Anyone know whose it was? And are there "after" photographs?

You all go back to hibernating for the Winter - I have this contest wrapped up!!

Seriously it is open to 9 categories of RV's yeehaa that means TT's as well

I think it will be the photo and the 400 word essay explaining why you need a Makeover that will do it for you - so get your pen and paper out and cameras too.

March 27th 2005 is the deadline
The 20K consists of a $5000 Cheque and $15000 in merchandise and service from Campingworld. That gives you a huge list to choose from. The prize must be redeemed by Dec 31, 2005.

Hmm just read the fine print(US residents only) .....I am now looking for someone to adopt MoonBeam for this Contest. If you win I am sure she will share some with you

They have not contacted me yet BUT my 400 word essay was so original and enduring no else could beat it. The real cincher, though was the picture that featured not only my MO but my three year old grandson. I once heard if you stick a kid in the picture it can not be resisted. I will let you all know when they call me to say that I won.

Question

I am the proud owner of one of the 15 370 LE's made in 1989. It is on the Gillig chassis with a Ford 460 engine. It has 37k miles and runs great.

I just ( yesterday) completed the interior renovation from stem to stern. I wish I had known about the contest. Maybe I would have waited on th renovation and entered.
