Opinions: Bridgestone R250F Tires

Anyone have comments about Bridgestone Tires? The 19.5 versions in any brand seem difficult to find and prices vary widely. I'm looking at the R250F in 245-70R-19.5 Load range (G or H). Saw a few fleet write ups and they seem like decent tires.

Since FEDEX buys them I'd say they're a good idea.

I'd say double check your ratio size. All that I've read have used 225/70R-19.5, and there has been some concern when using the above size on duals that they may actually come in contact with each other when at road speed. There's just 'concern', haven't actually read where someone has had this happen. I'm about to start checking prices, and was first going to find the size comparison to the current 8R-19.5's I have on my motorhome. Only thing I was considering was using a 'grippier' tire design for the drive axle, due to the fact that I plan on boon-docking and will not be on paved roads.
Thanks, Derek

When I replaced my 8R-19.5's I did so with 225/70R19.5 XRV MichelinX tires. They don't rub on my 1993 LY when traveling. There not as tall as the old 8R-19.5 tires, so my speedometer reads about 5mph faster than the actual speed. I've had no problems with the Michelins tires, I like the wider lower look of the 225/70R tires. Seems like their a little
softer ride also.

My truck had 225/70R-19.5 Bridgestone on the front when I bought it new and never could get them to wear right and be balanced. The dealer had every excuse in the book, they even trued them in tire grinding machine. They again started wearing crazy cupping all over. I was so pissed that they would not stand behind them I went to their competitor and bought Michelins. Night and day difference!!! Truck rode like a Caddilac. 30K miles later I went back to the Bridgestone dealer and showed them how my new tires were wearing perfect,,,they again started spewing more excuses. Every Michelin tire I ever owned has impressed me.
