MH Rear twins to large bed - adds value?

It seems that rear twin MH's sometimes struggle to sell while the units with the large (Brady style) bed sell faster.

Do you think converting the twins to a large bed would add value to the coach or just mess it up?

I guess it would have to do with personal sleep habits -- who, (or what ) -- you prefer to sleep with.

In my case, (one wife woman, two shelties, and three papillons) a large bed is a HUGE asset.

The down side (IMHO) of converting the entire rear end of a Classic MoHo "Bed" (BTW, a "King" mattress would just fit back there) is the problem of "making it" (sheets, covers, blankets - that sort of thing).

I think I have found a solution - since we really only use the "walkaround" area of the "bedroom" (a pitiful 12" wide (or less) area that you can only "scoot" around - walking is impossible) for "making" the bed, I have installed two Aluminum 1" X 1" angles across the rear of the MoHo, one on each side of (and as long as) the "walk area" of the bed, just below the bottom of the mattress, and cut a piece of 1/8" Oak plywood to just fit down on top of the angles. When "making" the bed, this plywood can be dropped onto the floor or placed on the back "shelf" of the MoHo. At all other times the plywood is set in place on top of the angles, and a full length body pillow is placed on top of the plywood.

This, in addition to a "standard Queen" mattress (the "foot" portion simply hangs off of the bed pedestal) allows for pretty much a "room sized bed" where the pups are perfectly happy with the extremities, while "the wife" and I can enjoy a decent sleep on the main (supported) section of the Queen mattress.

Works for us!

Besides, any conversion you do is reversable to get back to the original twins....or whatever you started with.

I think these things (Airstreams) are to be enjoyed to the utmost - if you have a modification to make it "better" or to make it more useful for your lifestyle - go for it. My vote is for the bigger bed.
