Looking to Purchase Airstream

I have been doing a lot of research on many types of campers and RV's. I just keep coming back to the Airstream based on it's build quality, appearance, etc. I have found a non-titled 2008 Safari Sport 22 ft for $28K. It seems like a very good deal based on it's original msrp. It also appears the layout of the new sports are very similar to this model. Can you guys give me some advice or wisdom. I would be taking my wife and 6 year old on trips. Nothing cross country right now. Thanks.

No title or never titled? Is it a private sale? I would do a Vin check and have it inspected. AS build quality is WAY better than any SOB.

sorry. Non-titled. Dealer. It has been on their lot. It is the last one they have.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The 22 Sport sounds like a decent deal. It is a brand new Airstream, even though it's an '07. The Factory Warranty starts on the day that you take delivery. We bought our Lucy brand new in June of 2006, and she is a 2005.

The 22 Sport is light and towable with a greater variety of tow vehicles. If the floor plan will work for you, it sounds like a deal to me.

Brian

Because its been sitting for so long, I'd ask the dealership to replace the tires before you buy. Flat spots are bad for tires and they have not been covered.
