TX - if all you want to do is have your boys watch TV there is no need for running the generator. In all Interstates since 2010 there is an inverter that will allow you to run all the TVs in the van while driving and when camping. The refrigerator in
12V and can run continually as long as you have adequate battery power. While driving you will have plenty of
12V power to run the inverter and refrigerator. If you get a newer Interstate, like 2015 or newer, the solar panels will keep batteries charged when not driving.
BTW - you might get more responses if you post in the Sprinter and B-van subfroum.
Hope this helps and good luck on you search for an Interstate.
