Interstate Newbie - General Battery/Solar Question

Hi all! I am a ‘new to me’ 2020 Airstream Interstate EXT 24 Lounge owner who received a very poor orientation from the dealership. Our AI has the 4 AGM 80ah batteries with 300 watts of solar & magnum inverter. Does the battery switch and/or the Magnum inverter need to be ‘ON’ in order for the solar to charge the batteries? Thanks!

Perhaps your question has been answered, however I pulled up from support.airstream.com what I guess is the correct user manual for your unit, and the verbiage is the same as from mine:

Fr page 5-14: The solar panels will charge the batteries regardless of the battery disconnect switch position. Likewise, if ON or OFF, the generator will charge the batteries.

To answer the second half of the question: the inverter should be off unless you *really* need it to run a 120V device while off grid.
