Hot Water Frustrations
A newbie here...My husband and I are on our first 2 month road trip in our new 2018 Interstate Grand Tour. Previously we had a 2017 MB Leisure Travel Van. From my understanding both are equipped with a tankless water heater. In the LTV when you turned on the hot water faucet, whether at the kitchen sink, the bathroom lav, or the shower, once you got it to the right temperature you could shut the water flow off, continue your shower or wash the dishes, turn the water back on to rinse and there would be continuous hot water to finish the job.
It’s been our experience when doing the same in the Interstate once water flow is resumed the water is hot for a short while and then goes back to cold while waiting for more hot water to flow! Very frustrating when trying to conserve water when washing dishes or taking a ‘military’ shower!
Is this the way a tankless water heater is supposed to work?! Is there something we’re missing...? Is this your experience in your AI?
