Happened to just run across this while surfing the net. Sounds like a challenge to those who like to push their motorhome beyond the limit. The world/s fastest motorhome record belongs to a GMC motorhome. Surely it should belong to an Airstream.
Mine's not capable of going that fast - it's geared low, which means my top speed is probably 75 mph or so (I'm guessing - haven't actually tried it!). But I bet I can take him off the line and in the curves.

oh I like the GMC motor home. They are front wheel drive, so they are low to the ground, most likely can out corner us.So low they don't need a step, that would be nice,
but the back is ugly. Therefor I like my Argosy better I would build my parts AS for the track if I could get some funding?
Wife and I were in Alva, OK last fall when they had a hot rod car show and cruise. The last night was the burnout contest. The winner from the year before was an old 70's Dodge chassis Winnebago Brave. That night he got disqualified because he blow one of his duals. Quite a sight. Tried to get a picture, but too dark and too much smoke.
I had one of the them (19' Winnebago Brave) with a 413cid. That old engine would need more that a tune-up to burn rubber like that.
Too much of granddaddy's oil/gas money floating around that little town. Makes my wish my granddad kept the mineral rights when he sold the farm back in '48.
