Gas Tank Filler & Vent Hose

On our way to RGV in Dec. I noticed that i had a gasoline leak during fueling. A quick crawl under the MH while fueling indicated that there was some sort of leak in the filler hose. I stopped at an RV dealer and paid them $149 to fix it. 300 miles later i stopped for fule and sure enough it was still leaking.

Now I'm home and have time (and inclination) to repair it myself. I checked with Airstream and was told that it is a chassis problem and I would need to go to Chevy (It's a 1993 Airstream Legacy setting on a P-30 chassis). GMC dealer learned that the part is MFG discontinued but found the filler hose under Workhorse. Ordered, but no part no for the vent hose.

Has anyone else had this leak?
How difficult is it to replace.
Any idea where the vent hose can be obtained?

I am having the same trouble on 94 legacy I just bought. Gas filler hose is more of a sieve than a leakproof tube. I managed to disconnect one end off yesterday and it took over an hour and that was the easier end. I sure am open on any suggestions on how to remove the other end.
I read that many GM P30's motorhome owners have the same problem. Anyone knows where I can find a replacement hose 30" long which will not dissolve from gas fumes?

Bernie, it is standard (for North America) fuel fill hose. When you get it removed (since it is leaking, cut a slice in the hose where it connects to the metal joint, and slide it off), measure length and diameter. I can get replacement hose from almost any NAPA or hydraulic repair business.
Here is a link to example:

I did that. It don't just "Slide off" there is a wire reinforcement and the hose is concreted/bonded on both ends. I had to cut hose down to the wire and rip it off by bruit force in little bitty pieces.
Now I don't make a puddle of gas on the ground when I fill.

Just replaced my fuel hose this fall, had the puddle while filling problem.. Did it my self! Got hose from a local gates hose dealer ( Robbins Auto Parts) in NH. had to slice the hose and cut the wire reinforcement inside with wire cutters. Twisted and tugged to pull off. Good luck!
