Furnace filter?

Is there a furnace filter on my 1982/3 310 turbo diesel??? Similar to a residential forced air furnace?

No. And Suburban specifically states one is not to be added.

On my '83, 310 (no longer owned) I replaced the furnace and added a 4th duct to get the heat out of the unit. The original 3 ducts on mine were not enough and the unit kept cycling on and off with the high temp limit switch. Adding a 4 th duct and register was a big help in heating the rig, and keeping the furnace operating at a lower temp.

The reason is any screen or filter would reduce the air flow volume thus reducing the heat transferred out of the heater. This would reduce efficiency and run the risk of shutting the heater off on high limit.
